Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Upper Strings Tutor to join the Music Department at Brisbane Grammar School in a tutoring capacity. The successful applicant will deliver high-quality private violin and viola tuition and contribute to our vibrant cocurricular strings program, conducting and/or assisting two to three ensembles.
Brisbane Grammar School's music program is supported by a highly experienced team of teachers and tutors who are committed to providing exceptional musical education and opportunities to our students. You will work with students across a range of skill levels, supporting their musical development and fostering a love of performance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective private violin and/or viola tuition
Conduct and/or assist string ensembles, preparing them for school performances and events
Support students in preparation for AMEB examinations, school concerts, and other performance opportunities
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, supporting a collaborative and encouraging learning environment
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Music (BMus) or equivalent qualification
Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
Proven experience in instrumental tuition and ensemble direction
Commitment to nurturing musical growth and excellence in students
