Brisbane Grammar School is a non-denominational boys’ school of about 2000 students (Years 5 to12) overlooking the Brisbane CBD. The School maintains a 150-year strong tradition of academic excellence, extensive cocurricular activities and student wellbeing programs. Cocurricular Program
The School provides opportunities for boys to participate in a variety of cocurricular activities at all levels - from the Great Public Schools' Association (GPS) competition to activities for beginners wanting to learn new skills. The cocurricular program includes Cricket, Debating, Rowing, Sailing, Swimming, Volleyball, Cross Country, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics, Tennis, Basketball, Chess, Track and Field, and Rugby.

About the role
As a Coach, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students, helping them hone their skills, build confidence, and develop a love for the game.
This position is ideal for someone looking for a bit of extra cash, and wants to stay connected to the game and learn some of the best coaching methods to increase player performance.
Responsibilities
• Conduct Coaching Sessions: Lead engaging and dynamic coaching sessions focused on skill development and strategy. Create a positive and inclusive environment where players feel motivated to improve.
• Player Assessment: Evaluate students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor coaching strategies and drills accordingly. Provide constructive feedback to help students progress and reach their full potential.
• Skill Enhancement: Work with individual students to enhance skills. Implement innovative techniques and training methods to maximize performance.
• Game Preparation: Prepare players for matches by simulating game scenarios, and discussing game tactics. Instill strategic decision-making skills to excel in competitive situations.
• Coach Development: Join the Head Coach for sessions during the week, focusing on personal development and skill enhancement as a coach. Implement learned techniques, strategies and drills.
• Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with players and parents. Keep parents informed about training schedules, progress, and any relevant updates.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in the selected sport or activity up to a competitive level.
• Strong knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
• Minimum Level Coaching Certificate (as required for each sport)
• Availability to work up to 8 hours per week.
